👑 KYIRAN & KASYSON — THIS ONE IS PERSONAL 🤍
There is so much about me, my family and our journey that people don’t know yet.
I genuinely believe everyone has a story. Everyone has a past, everyone has things they’ve been through, and that’s why I’ve always tried never to judge a book by its cover. You simply don’t know what somebody has carried behind closed doors.
People close to me know that the last seven years haven’t always been easy. There are parts of my story I’ve never spoken about publicly and some that are still buried pretty deep. As KBIV London grows, I know that means allowing you to know more of the person and family behind the brand. I’m trying. ❤️
And Kyiran & Kayson is one of those stories.
Over nine years ago, while Kayson was still in my tummy and Kyiran was tiny, I created Kyiran & Kayson a children’s shoe brand. I put everything into it. It grew incredibly quickly, we had investors involved, the shoes were selling and we were moving into stores.
I genuinely thought I was creating my children’s legacy.
Then, for reasons I’ll share when the time is right, it suddenly came to an end.
That was a very difficult pill to swallow. It wasn’t just losing a business. Their names were on it. It felt like I’d lost something I’d promised my children.
Some of you will know that my boys are autistic. And unless you’ve lived that journey as a parent, it’s difficult to explain the worries that can come with loving your children so fiercely while wondering what their future will look like.
My boys are two of the most beautiful, innocent souls. They see the good in people. They want friendship, love and happiness. And my biggest fear isn’t who they are — it’s how the world will treat them.
Sometimes I think about the things other parents might dread when their children become teenagers — throwing a house party while you’re away, staying out too late, doing all the things teenagers do — and I find myself thinking, God, I hope I get to worry about those things one day.
Because sometimes my worries look different.
I worry about whether they’ll be understood. Whether they’ll be included. Whether they’ll find their people. Whether they’ll be safe and supported when Dean and I aren’t there to protect them.
And ultimately, that’s why I work the way I do.
KBIV isn’t about fast cars, massive houses or extravagant holidays for me. I’m building something that I hope gives my children security, choices and a legacy. Something that will still be there for them when one day I can’t be.
So I always knew Kyiran & Kayson had to come back. 👑
This November, KYIRAN & KAYSON by KBIV London will officially become part of our Kids Collection.
And this time, their name will stand for something even bigger.
For every Kyiran & Kayson cream sold, 5% of the profit will be donated to an autism charity/support organisation, with the chosen partner to be announced once everything is confirmed. 💙
I want this cream to help another parent who has laid awake worrying about their child’s future. Another mum who’s cried when nobody was watching. Another family fighting to have their child understood, supported and heard.
Because that journey can sometimes feel incredibly lonely.
And if this little cream eventually helps even one family feel less alone, I’ll be proud of what we’ve created.
Maybe Kyiran & Kason wasn’t meant to end nine years ago.
Maybe it was simply waiting for the right chapter. 🤍
